35th International Kite Fliers Meeting Fanø 2019

We are currently attending the Fanø Kite Festival 2019. In the morning just after we had arrived we had just got our lifter in the air when the heavens opened and it rained and hailed for about 15 minutes, the wind dropped and all the kites came down. Then the sand turned to a lake and it looked like the tide had come in. However, the clouds cleared, the sun came out and the wind came back and it was glorious for the rest of the day. I bumped into Andrew Beatie who was flying a huge Manta Ray, Gecko and Dragon. He has an impressive winch on the front of his van 😁. What a kite festival so many kites were in the sky absolutely brilliant😁. You can find photographs from today in our website gallery.
