We were very pleased to have been invited to do a display at the Rendham Village fete yesterday. This was a new venue for us and what a lovely event it is with such a friendly crowd. Wind conditions were to say the least very challenging with the wind going from zero to 30mph with gusts which swirled around the site. We tried our usual Manta Ray lifters but with the swirling blustery winds even with a pilot they were all over the place. We then tried using a large Trilobite and a Jellyfish as lifters, their long tentacles seem to help keep them more stable and we could get some Fauchis underneath. As the afternoon went on the wind kept dropping and then suddenly gusting so we certainly got our steps in running about the field relaunching the kites. Due to the adverse wind conditions we didn’t get as much in the sky as we would have liked but the organisers were very happy with our display and we got loads of nice comments from the public. We even got several waves and toots from the passing cars. There are some more photos on our gallery page.
