A great first event of the year at the ‘Wild Flight’ Fun Day at the Essex Wildlife Trust Belfairs Woodland Centre. A beautiful sunny day but unfortunately the 10mph wind they had forecast was very iffy and we struggled to keep some kites in the air, but on the few occasions when we did manage to get some wind we had an Orca, Seahorse, the Ostende bird and some flow-tails in the sky. The Kite workshop was a frenzy of activity, with a big shoutout and thanks to Lyyn and Margaret who helped 109 children to make their own kites. It it was so great to see all the children having a great time running around the field flying their kites. Many thanks to the Belfairs Woodland Centre for organising the event :-).
